Meaing of 「つまれて」

    Hello,

    Please explain meaning of 「つまれて」 in the following sentence:

    ふくろが いえのまえに　どっさり　つまれていたのです。

    I guess it could mean "to be blocked", but I wonder, could it also mean "to be covered" ?

    I think it's probably 積まれていた or 'piled up'.

    You know, if you read stories written with kanji you'd be less likely to have such problems :P
