Usage of の particle

    Hello,

    I wonder what is the reason to use 「の」 particle in next sentence:
    「おわすれものの　ない　ように」

    ～のない means "without ～".

    おわすれもののない is a clause within the sentence and in smaller clauses like this, が can become の. The sentence could just as well be 「おわすれものが　ない　ように」.
