英語がよくできに
  • Hi everyone! I was wondering If these sentences I wrote for my composition are correct. I'd be really grateful If someone could help me to find any mistakes.
    日本から帰ったら英語がよくできにスコットランドでアルバイトをしてみます。
    スコットランドは私の母の家族住んでいる国だので子どものときたいていへ行きました。
    Thanks in advance

I'm not entirely sure what you want to say. I suppose it is "To be able to speak English well when I come back from Japan, I would try to take a part-time job in Scotland". If so, I think there is no mistakes.

Can you really say よくできに? I've never heard that before. I would say よく話せるように。 The してみます also seems a little strange. What did you want to say? In fact, the meaning does also. Do they even speak English in Scotland? ;-)

For the second one, I'm not sure たいてい works. In my mind at least, it has more of a sense of "usually." See the sentences section for examples. よく is probably what you mean.

Like tamatama said, できに is incorrect. You can say it, but it means something different, 出来 is a noun which means craftmanship.

Howdy, Stranger!
