    Hello,

    I'm not sure how to pronounce this word. Would you say "o-so-i" (3 sounds) or "o-soy" (2 sounds) ? "soy" would be the same pronunciation as the first person of the spanish verb "ser" (to be).

    Sorry, I don't know how to write this phonetically. Hope anyone understand what I'm talking about.

  • In natural speed it sounds like osoy but its really o so i. The difference becomes more apparent when you listen to a song and they break up each syllable.

    For example, wasurenai turns into wah soo re nah eeeee when some goofy jpop guy is on stage.

    Every mora (kana) in Japanese should always be pronounced the same length, at least in theory.
