    I have a sentence I almost understand fully, but one small part is making me wonder.

    1ๆฎตใ‚ใฎใ‚ญใƒผใฏใ€ใ‹ใชใƒปๆ•ฐๅญ—ๅ…ฅๅŠ›ๆ™‚ใซใ‚‚ไฝฟ็”จใ—ใพใ™ใ€‚๏ผˆใ„ใกใ ใ‚“ใ‚ใฎใใƒผใฏใ€ใ‹ใชใ™ใ†ใ˜ใซใ‚…ใ†ใ‚Šใ‚‡ใใจใใ‚‚ใ—ใ‚ˆใ†ใ—ใพใ™ใ€‚๏ผ‰

    I am wondering about '1ๆฎตใ‚', I can understand '1ๆฎต' as a counter, but is the 'ใ‚' part of the word (ใ ใ‚“ใ‚) or not? If not, what does it signify? If so, I cannot find a description for ใ ใ‚“ใ‚.

    Yes, I am a bluntly honest type.

    ใ‚๏ผˆ็›ฎ๏ผ‰ is used to turn a cardinal number into an ordinal.

    E.g. ไธ‰ๅ›ž็›ฎใซๅ‡บๆฅใพใ—ใŸใ€‚I managed it on the third attempt. (Literally "I could do it the third time").

    Aha, so it was indeed ็›ฎ, but written in just kana. ^^;

    Now it also explains the ๏ผ‘ๆฎต็›ฎ better in that it was talking about my Wordtank G55, which has a row of numbers and in another colour the ใ‚-row of ใ‹ใช. So the translation of something like stage, rank or row for this ใ‚-row makes sense.

    Ah, found this (http://www.trussel.com/jcount.htm):

    42. ๆฎต dan ichi steps; steps or stages; columns (of print)

    Since the numbers and kana are at the first row from the top, this would solve it.

    ใฉใ†ใ‚‚ใ‚ใ‚ŠใŒใจใ†ใ”ใ–ใ„ใพใ—ใŸใ‚ใ‚ใ•ใ‚“ใ€‚
