って and と

    Hi there, can anyone confirm this for me:

    Are って and と interchangeable at any time? Because I see「[phrase]」と[name]が言う being used a lot more than「[phrase]」って[name]が言う. I do know that って is only for informal situations.

    No, there are loads of situations where it isn't interchangeable, but yeah, in your example it is.

    Oops, I should have been more specific. What I meant to say was, are they interchangeable at any time for phrasing/speech purposes?
