γŠγ¨γ‚ or γ—γ‚‡γ†γ˜γ‚‡? When to use which? Can someone please clarify? Thanks in advance.

Reading: γ—γ‚‡γ†γ˜γ‚‡ - I wouldn't read it as γŠγ¨γ‚ unless there were furigana telling me to read it that way
Writing: Use ε°‘ε₯³ for γ—γ‚‡γ†γ˜γ‚‡ and δΉ™ε₯³ for γŠγ¨γ‚ to avoid ambiguity
Listening: The same definitions on DenshiJisho but Yahoo gives 'girl' for γ—γ‚‡γ†γ˜γ‚‡, and 'maiden' or 'virgin' for 'γŠγ¨γ‚' which matches about how often I think they're used in modern Japanese.
Speaking: If you want to say girl, say γ—γ‚‡γ†γ˜γ‚‡ (or onna no ko). γŠγ¨γ‚ as maiden/virgin is a bit old-fashioned (as far as I know) and would probably only appear, if at all, in compounds.
