Good morning,
I am Zoltan from The Netherlands a beginner in Japanese language.
As a European I am fighting with Kanji and it's readings. I just discovered your fantastic tool!!
During my studies I discover that I need 5 or 6 web sites open simultaneously to obtain all the information I need.
Here are some ideas for future improvements:
1 I miss a Romaji button for the Kun and On readings
2 When I enter multiple kanji that has a combined meaning I would love to see the romaji reading of the whole and if possible the meaning/translation of the whole
3 I miss a stroke order descriptor
I hope you do not mind my ideas here. I would appreciate if I could be of any help.
Kind regards,
Zoltan
The sole use of romaji for someone learning Japanese is to learn how to read hiragana and katakana. Once you've done that, you will no longer need romaji. Learn hiragana and katakana as soon as possible and avoid romaji completely.
Denshi Jisho does give readings and definitions for kanji compounds that you enter.
I agree with your last point.
