Difference between sort of maybe synonymous words..

Been thinking a lot what is the difference Between あぶない、And やばい。。。お願いします!

あぶない - dangerous/risky/hazardous
やばい - bad/terrible, it may also mean dangerous, but it's mostly used as "terrible"
also やばい is more informal
I'm not 100% certain are those all the differences, so if anyone knows better please correct me. :)
