<p>従来の12月実施に加えて、2009年の７月に現行試験の１・２級のみの試験を実施します。実施地は、要望の強かった日本国内および中国などの海外の一部地域としたいと考えています。</p>
<p>So only for JLPT levels 1 and 2 we will see two tests a year, at least in 2009. One in July and one in December.</p>

I am staying in Japan till june and I want to take up JLPT Level 2 this year.<br />
I guess I will not be able to take the exam in Japan.</p>
<p>However, if it is twice a year, can I fill up the form here and take up the exam in my home country?</p>
<p>Please comment if you know anything abotu this.</p>
