Describing (風に、まま、様に、様な)
  • WeiWei January 18

I just want to make sure that I am doing this right.

風に describes a way of performing an action: こんな風にして (doing something 'this way')
まま describes something in its present state: このまま食べて (eat it 'the way it is')
様に is used to form similes: 焼けるように熱い (hot like an oven)
様な is similar to 様に, but is used as a な-adjective: 焼けるような一日 (hot like an oven all day)

Am I understanding these words correctly?
