日本語の学校 or just 日本語学校?
  • Hi! I know pretty much Japanese I wanted to start learning the basics, but when I want to write "Japanese School" (or something like that) should it be 日本語の学校 with the の (no) or just 日本語学校 (without the の (no))?
  • Personally I would almost always say 日本語学校 but according to pure grammar it SHOULD be 日本語の学校. But think of it like this, do you want to say "school of japanese language" or "japanese language school"? Both work, but while the first one be slightly better grammarwise, the second one might sound better in a conversation.
  • Oh, I see. Then I will use 日本語学校 because it fits better. Thank you. :)
